I Preferred LogistiCare, Somehow…

trans flag waves in a brisk breeze

Every time I have called your company, I have been misgendered. I have requested that you fix my gender in your system, and I have been assured that you would. Nevertheless, the next call I make, I am again misgendered.

I use IP Relay. I have a transcript for each call I make to you. I am not wrong in this.

My care coordinator has called you and asked that you change my gender on the account when I was in the room with her, with you on speakerphone. Your agent said it would be done. It was not.

Complaints have been lodged. My gender is still incorrect.

I had to tell one of your drivers I was on testosterone to get him to stop calling me ‘sweetheart’, ‘dear’, ‘honey’ (he’d turn around while driving to do so, as I’m deaf; he ‘just had’ to make smalltalk). No complaints to you did a thing. You apparently found nothing about the situation alarming.

My rides show up less and less often, and I am left at the drs office more, even though I now live in a more urban area, and my rides are 20–40 minutes instead of 60–90 minutes.

The receptionists at my PCP’s office know your number, and if I come back inside after my appointment, they sign DRIVE? (sad) and just call you to let you know you’ve stranded me again.

I’m deaf, I’m walking disabled, I live alone, I’m on SSI & Medicaid. I need a reliable ride service, but this is the one I’ve been given.

DO BETTER.
